I grew up in the small town of Iredell. In 1993, I attended Dallas Institute of Funeral Service earning an Associate’s of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service. While attending mortuary school, I worked as an assistant at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. After graduation, I worked for Harrell Funeral Home in Dublin where I served out my apprenticeship and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer. I continued working there as assistant manager for the next 8 years. My career brought my family and me to the Waco area in 2001 where I served my next 15 years of employment with OakCrest Funeral Home as manager and funeral director in charge until 2011. At that time I stepped down to part-time status until 2015. In 2019, I was blessed with the opportunity to return to the Waco area and joined Lake Shore Funeral Home & Crematory as funeral director, embalmer and cremation specialist.
My husband, Chris and I have two wonderful children, daughter, Kaylee Mattiza Seagraves and her husband Isaac, and our son, Tyler Mattiza. I love the outdoors, yard work, grilling, anything to do with animals and just being with family and friends. We have been longtime members of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Coryell City.
I am passionate about helping families when they need help the most! I look forward to serving area client families for many years to come.
