Patricia “Mawmaw” Hooten, 72, of Whitney, left this world to join Pawpaw in the early hours on February 25, 2019. She lost her battle with cancer, but fought hard until the end with both of her sons at her bedside.

Pat was born June 9, 1946, in Dallas. She married Larry Hooten on August 28, 1970. In 1979, they moved their family to Whitney. Pat and Larry resided in Whitney until their final days.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, who has been patiently waiting for her to join him.
Pat is survived by two sons, Shane Hooten and his wife, Patricia of Whitney and Chad Hooten and his wife, Kristen of Whitney; five grandchildren, Shanda Girsh of Whitney, Chelsea Hooten of Whitney, Taylor Hooten of China Spring and Kaylin and Cash Hooten of Whitney; and four great-grandsons, Bryson, Jaxon, Cooper and Camden all of Whitney.
