Peter Thorne, of Waco, left this world peacefully on November 2, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
He was predeceased by his son, Jay Thorne, who lost his battle with colon cancer earlier this year.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Sue Blackwell of Waco; his children, Lucy Thorne, John Thorne and Ellen Lane; six grandchildren; his sister and brother in law, Pat and Dave Thomas of Arlington, Vermont; Sue’s daughter, Lauren and her husband, Alex Arias of Waco and their children, Kathleen, Dave and Davey, age seven, who frequently visited Peter during this last year at Wesley Woods.
Peter’s family is grateful to the nursing staff at Wesley Woods Care Center for their loving care.
A memorial service and inurnment will be held at a later date in Brandon, Vermont.
