Petra Castillo Garcia, 87, of Waco died peaceful Saturday, January 14, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Visitation: Wednesday, January 18th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 12:00PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.
Graveside Service: Wednesday, January 18th at Santa Cruz Cemetery in Riesel, Texas.
Petra was born April 6, 1929 in Coolidge, Texas to the late Pedro and Maria Belemarez Dominguez Castillo. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed taking care of them; spending time with them and cooking for them brought her great joy. Petra is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Maria Castillo; her husband, Cruz Lopez Garcia; and two sons, Wallace Garcia and Leonard Garcia.
Petra will be remembered in love and cherished by her children, Yolanda Garcia, Delores Juarez, Cruz Garcia, and Ernest Garcia, Sr.; three sisters, Patricia Jimenez and husband Felix, Maria Belemarez, and Maria Ruiz and husband Daniel; two brothers, Isaac Sifuentez and wife Maria and Francisco Belemarez and wife Juanita; 14 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family members.
