Ralph Sommerfeld, 71, of China Spring, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 2PM Friday, April 30th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ivan Ker officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery . Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Thursday, April 29th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco . Ralph was born May 1, 1938 in Clifton to Gus and Emma (Knuppel) Sommerfeld. He married Irene Riley on April 16, 1960 in Clifton . He owned and operated Sommerfeld

Say, who’s child are you? I’m John Donaho, used to work for and with Ralph and Irene. I recall the daughters and a young son back in 1983-85. I’m really sorry to see he suffered. He didn’t deserve that.
We loved being around Ralph he was a great person that will be missed. Our prayers go out to all of you at this time. Love all of you guys.
