Richard Paul Gold, “R.P.”, 85 of Waco, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023. He was born July 30, 1937 in Hobbs, New Mexico.
R.P. led a life of service to God and to people. He loved his church and was a member of Crestview Church of Christ for 55 years.
He had his own business for many years and later managed a similar business until his recent retirement.
R.P. Was a funny caring individual; loved by everyone he met. He had all the nurses in the hospital charmed by his infectious personality during his recent hospital stay. He will be greatly missed by all.
R.P. was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Hans Gold and Willie Marie Gray Gold; brother, Gene Gold; and grandson, Ryan Lee Griffin.
He is survived by, brother, ML Gold and wife Glenda; sister, Shari Norris and husband Jerry; brother, Steven Gold; wife, Zhiping Gold; daughter, Dawn Gold; daughter, Kim Griffin and husband Greg; and granddaughter, Brenna Rodriguez and husband Joe.

Kim and Dawn, my brothers and sisters are sorry to hear about your lost. I do remember him driving church bus to pick us up from our home and we would sing songs till we get to the church. He always made sure we enjoyed the ride and i would always sit next to him during church service. God bless you and your family…Junior, Albert, Ben, Stella and JoAnn Diaz.
Mr. Gold would pick my sister and I up for church when we were little. I learned how to drive a stick shift because of him! He was the kindest soul and will be missed. Love you Mr. Gold!
We will miss you Mr. RP. You were the sunshine in our neighborhood. Austin loved helping you rake leaves and visiting with you. You were so kind to her and she considered you her special friend.
