Rick (Rickie) Varley 61, of Hewitt, TX left his earthly home to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 9th 2023 ,at Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest Hospital, in Waco.
Visitation: 6-8PM, Friday, February 17, 2023 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside Services: 1PM, Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Kyle Cemetery in Kyle, TX.
Rick was born in Pasadena, TX on November 8th, 1961. He is the son of Doyalene and Don Varley and Charles Moore.
Rick graduated from Moody High School. He played football all through his school years. Rick was very involved in FFA through the years showing numerous animals. His great niece Karla is proudly following in her Uncle Rick’s footsteps with his love of FFA and showing animals.
Rick married his love, Joyce Roberts on July 5th, 2018. Joyce was faithfully by his side until his death.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Doyalene and Don Varley and Charles Moore; infant brother, Calvin Varley; grandparents, Doyal and Jewell Clanton, George and Doris Varley, and Alton and Alyne Miller; numerous great grandparents; aunts, Kay Bledsoe and Janice Varley; uncles, Gene Varley, Larry Maxwell and Chuck Bledsoe; mother in law, Margie Richardson; father in law Robert Bledsoe; brother in laws, Jim Tidwell and Ken Dahl; and cousins, Duane Butler and Pam Varley.
Rick is survived by his wife, Joyce Varley; sister, Charla Dahl; niece, Marla Pribble and husband Billy; great niece, Karla Pribble; great nephew, Jaxson Pribble; aunt, Sharon Maxwell; stepsons, Randy Roberts, Scott Roberts and wife Shandi; grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Aaron and Melanie; Halfsisters, Cindy Allen and Brandi Morrison; and numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
My heart hurts for all of you. Just know that he is with Jesus and is singing with the angels. Love and prayers to all.
I am so very sorry to learn of Rick’s passing. He fought a good fight with Joyce right by his side and she was his biggest cheerleader. Joyce I love you and I’m here for you anytime day or night. Rick will be missed and he was such a blessing. Rest in peace in your new body!

Joyce you are in my heart and prayers , I’m here if you need anything anytime. This past year you have been so strong physically and in your faith and did everything you could possibly do for Rick.
