Ricky Lee Moorman, 55, of Waco passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017.
Memorial Visitation Monday, August 28, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home,5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.
Ricky was born September 7, 1961 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Jack Leroy and Doris Kathlene Weaver Moorman. He graduated from Artesia High School in Lakewood, California. The family moved to the Waco area in 1986 and Ricky attended and graduated from TSTC as Diesel Mechanic Engineer. Ricky’s father was an avid drag racing fan and even participated in the sport, passing along that passion along to Ricky and his brother. Ricky worked in the pits at the race tracks in California and continued to follow the sport through-out his life. One of Ricky’s favorite racers was, John Force. He always enjoyed working on cars. Ricky also worked as a security guard for a period and was involved with bands such as Motley Crew and Metallica. Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Jack Moorman.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Kathy Moorman; daughter, Cheyanne Moorman; brother, John Moorman and his wife Leslie; nephews, Kaleb, John David and Austin; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
