Robert is survived by his wife, Cassia Thomas Wachsmann; daughter, Elizabeth Wachsmann; son, Levi Wachsmann; daughter, Liberty Wachsmann; son, Samuel Wachsmann; and son, David Wachsmann. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Cathy Paparelli; parents, John and Debra Wachsmann; brother, Johnny Wachsmann and wife, Bri; brother, Scott Wachsmann and wife, Lindsey; and sister, Angela Wachsmann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Finally, he is survived by a host of friends who hold his memory dear, high school teammates, youth group and college group friends, and work friends. So many of those friends reached out to Robby in his last months, but especially Andrew Hejtmanek, a very close friend that he first met at Baylor.
Robert was born and raised in Waco, graduating from Parkview Christian Academy. He also graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, from University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Robert loved sports, having played football and baseball for Parkview Pacers. He also had a great love for everything Baylor, having attended his final BU football game at the 2020 Sugar Bowl with his father. Robert’s greatest passion was his family. He married Cassia Thomas on February 3, 2007. He loved spending time with his children and wife, whether it was game night or watching a movie, or seeing his children play their own youth sports. He invested many hours in the China Spring Youth Athletic Association, coaching and imparting his passion for football and baseball. Robert also was a determined follower of Christ and loved his church family. He served as Children’s Pastor at Church on the Rock Waco and remained active with his present church family, Church at Tree Lake in China Spring. In his young adult years, he ministered alongside his father-in-law, Rusty Thomas, for a season, reaching out to people all over the country. He had a love for children, his own and any child he ever met. Robby loved to make people laugh no matter where he was. He will be greatly missed.

Print Obituary & Condolences
Dear Cassia and children,
I am deeply saddened by your loss and I commit you to the One who best understands all that you have been through. May He provide you with comfort, strength, and healing in the days and months ahead.
In Christ our Lord,
Jody Hall
Wachsmann and Thomas Nation,
I wish we knew the words and comfort to give in this moment. Robbie was such a people person and a joy to be around. His personality was infectious. I cherish the times of coaching little league with him and Transformers. “Shawty Shorts” will be missed but, never forgotten. May the Lord comfort you and bless you.
Love,
Butlers.
Cassia & Family,
My sincere condolences. Robby was a special man and my pleasure to know him. May God bring you peace and comfort during this time. He was like a second son to me and I always smiled when he and Ray were together. You knew something was going on. He will always be remembered and I will miss his beautiful smile.
Love,
Dolores
