I was in total disbelief when I got the call! It’s very sad when a person like Ron is suddenly taken away from family and friends. He is in a good place with no pain, no pandemic and lots of Gods love! He will definitely be missed by all who knew him. For a man of few words, his words and actions spoke volumes! He will be missed!

Dear Ron’s family, so sorry for your loss you are all in our thoughts and prayers; just a quick Ron story, we lived near you guys and he (as I remember loved Halloween) I took my son over to trick or treat and he was scared of Ron in his mask…Any way told Ron at work the next day that my son woke up screaming saying Setsor is coming to get me. I think that is the only time that I made Ron laugh. He will be missed
Condolences to the Setser Family, Ron always had a way of making us smile at work. He gave sound advice and was a wonderful leader to all of us. He will be dearly missed.
I am very sorry for your family loss. He was very much a part of our Big Safari Family the whole time i served with him. I loved making him…or at least try to make him smile or laugh because it was very rare. Mr All Business, Ron”Sasso” you will be missed.
Della, my sincere condolences to you and the family. I met Ron in 1997, after I started as the Detachment Security Officer at Ontario, CA. Our first meeting started with “So you’re the new security guy” and that kind of dialog continued until I retired. Ron was a professional in every aspect and a dedicated family man. The Father has called him home and He will be with you and the family until the end. He will be missed.
We have truly lost a wonderful man in Ron, a great Boss. He was always there to be our champion. Della and family we all know you will miss him, but just know he has touch many peoples lives. He will be greatly missed. Blessing to you and Family.
Della, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I had the honor of working with Ron and seeing you guys at car shows. Won’t forget when he talked some of us into working security. Now that was an experience. I will never forget those good days. He was devoted to all he did and taught me a lot. He will be missed.
Our sincere condolences to Della and the entire Setser family
Ron was a good man, he fought a GOOD fight and will be missed. I have known Ron and Della for a good number of years; he taught me allot when I was new to the acquisition community back in Palmdale. I owe a good portion of my experience and success to Ron. Most everyone in the Big Safari community knew and respected Mr. Ron Setser. “We laughed allot, shared allot, care allot, went toe to toe allot” – Ron was right most of the time!!
God Speed my Friend, Rest in peace
Ron, you will be missed but not forgotten. I’m sure you were a true Navy man, who learned his trade, by working hard and listening to those around you, and when the opportunity came knocking, you answered it with a full head of steam ready to go. As your many years of proud service showed us, and although they were too few years for our liking, you forged new paths for other to follow. Always keeping the ship upright and safe for those behind you.
Della, our hearts go out to and your family. Always in our Prayers. Fair Winds and Following Seas Shipmate

Even though I only knew Ron when he ventured into our bunco group I saw in the video his many sides. He loved his country. He was not afraid to dress up in different costumes. You both shared love of cars and travel. He has a great family. He loved you and you had fun together. Praise God for sending him to you. You have so many memories to remember . May God watch over you and the family during this hard time.
