Rosa Shelton, 94, of Waco passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Visitation: 6 – 8PM Friday, January 12 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel
Funeral Service: 11AM Saturday, January 13 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church 711 Brook Ave., Waco, Texas 76708, Burial to follow at Doris Miller Cemetery.
Rosa was born November 29, 1929 in Waco, Texas. She was the fourth child born to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Holleman.
Rosa attended public school in Waco Texas. She joined Mt Carmel Baptist Church at an early age, under Pastor LH Handsbough.
She was preceded in death by her mother; father; husband, Alvin Shelton; daughter, Bobbie Shelton; brothers, Cleophus Holleman, Arthur Holleman Jr., and Cecil Holleman; sisters, Daisy Justice, Girldean Mason, and Ruby Tucker; and aunt, Maggie Roy.
She leaves to cherish her memory, nephews, Eddie Thomas (Patsy); Roger Thomas (Annie); and Malcolm Jones; nieces, Traci, Shannon, Ruthie, Lucille, Angela, Wilma, Mary, Wanda, and Sion; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
