Mrs. Hershel (Rose T.) Richter, 74, of Elm Mott, passed away on May 12, 2015.
Funeral Services: 2 PM, Saturday, May 16th, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Gerald with Rev. Tom Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Gerald Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 PM, Friday, May 15th, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.
Rose was born on August 19, 1940 in Cayote, TX to Jessie R. and Sudie B. (Croford) Toten. She graduated from China Spring High School and on April 19, 1963, married Hershel Richter. Rose worked for Firmin Business Forms and later for First National Bank of Waco. She helped raise and care for her grandchildren. Since 1963 Rose had been a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Gerald.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby Toten; and sister, Bonnie Sue Kroll.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Hershel of Elm Mott; daughter, Vicki Campbell and husband, Mark of Bosqueville; son, Jeff Richter and wife, Michelle of Elm Mott; grandchildren, April Cummings, Courtney Richter, Bradley Campbell, Whitney Richter, Danielle Richter and Dustin Richter; great-grandchildren, Colton Richter, Kaiden Moore, Makenzie Thompson, Ryder Richter and Kamryn Moore; sisters, Nell Sandhoff and husband, Bill of China Spring, Joyce Freyer and husband, Doug of China Spring; and brother Wesley Toten and wife, Ginger of China Spring.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Campbell, Courtney Richter, Dustin Richter, Danielle Richter, Tommy Kroll and Jamie Kroll. Honorary pallbearers are Colton Richter, Kaiden Moore, MakenzieThompson, Ryder Richter, Kamryn Moore, April Cummings and Whitney Richter.
