Ruth Hayward, 88, of Waco and formerly of San Antonio, died Friday, May 4, 2018 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
A private memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents; and many of her siblings.
Ruth is survived by her four sons, Richard Fadal and his wife, Jennifer, Tommy Fadal and his wife, Tracy, Barry Stowers and Randy Stowers and his wife, Mika; 12 grandchildren, Kyle Fadal, Jill Fadal, Jennifer Salisbury, Chris Fadal, Tyler Fadal, Stephen Stowers, Brittany Stowers, Amanda Stowers, Katie Stowers, Emily Stowers, Miwa Stowers, and Johnathan Stowers; and four great grandchildren, Mason Salisbury, Mark Fadal, Kate Fadal and Hadley Fadal.
Ruth will be remembered fondly as a loving mother and grandmother. May she rest in peace in the gardens of heaven and may eternal light shine upon her.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Brookdale Lakeshore Assisted Living Facility for the wonderful care they provided throughout the last year of her life, Texas Home Health Hospice for providing additional care at Brookdale the last six months and Dr. Elieson and the 4th North nursing staff at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center along with Hillcrest Hospice staff who provided compassionate care to our entire family during our Mother’s last days.
