Sally Frances Lockhart passed quietly from this life to the next on November 12, 2014, surrounded by her loving family . Graveside services will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Waco Memorial Park with Father Thomas Rardin officiating.
Sally Frances Lockhart was born February 3, 1936 in Waco, to David Rankin and Dixie Corine (Denton) Head. The wife of an Air Force Pilot, Sally was an active member of the Officer’s Wives Club (OWC) and loved entertaining, often having dinners and parties. She earned her Real Estate license and briefly enjoyed that. Her greatest joys were her kids, grandkids, and cats. Gracie, Mia, and Annie were her constant companions as her illness progressed. Sally spent her last 4 weeks in Sodalis Elderly Living, in truly a “home” environment receiving tender, loving care.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her brother David Allen Head; son Parker Hugh Lockhart and wife Holly Ann; daughter Carol Jean Bailey and husband Wamos Bennett; four precious grandchildren Jacob David Lockhart, Jordyn Danielle Lockhart, Tiffany Jean Bailey and Kimberly Lynn Bailey; nieces Cindy Lowery and husband Benny and Shelly Johnson and husband Dan; nephew Keith Head and wife Lynn; and numerous other nieces, nephews and family members.
