Samantha Buis, 17, of China Spring, tragically passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday, September 11th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Grant Kaul officiating. I did not know Sam or Donovan, but I know the heartache that the family and community shares. In December of 1993, almost 15 years ago, my best friend and a friend of her brothers were tragically killed in a car accident. To loose someone that young is indescribable. There are no words that I can think of that can comfort you in this terrible time. The loss will never go away, but you will learn to take comfort in memories and keep them in your hearts and minds forever. My thoughts and prayers are with family, friends, and classmates.

I did not know Samantha at all but I knew Donovan. I am so sorry for your loss. Sam from what I read seems like a beautiful, sweet, fun personality that will be greatly missed. My daughter lost her sister Whitney) at 13 years of age in Jan.08 and that was horriable to go through so I can only imagine the heart ache you feel when it’s your own daughter. As you know Sammy was a great friend to Kelsey and I loved her as well. You and I shared so much together and I know that Sammy was the "brightspot" of your life.
