Samuel Jerry Stewart passed away Friday, June 10, 2022.

Jerry Stewart was born August 24, 1945, in Waco, TX. He graduated China Spring High School and entered the U.S. Navy in 1968. He left the service and embarked on a career as a Master Electrician. Additionally, he was an avid outdoorsman, a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the North Crest Fire Department, an instructor at Texas State Technical Institute, and President of the Lakeview Little League. Jerry never met a stranger or missed an opportunity to hold a door. Jerry married the love of his life, Gail, on January 18, 1984, and together they raised four boys and two girls (and all of their friends). Jerry and Gail retired from M&M Mars and enjoyed their retirement as park hosts and gate attendants at Lake Belton. There they made many friends and loved on their precious pets. They loved to vacation and had many fond memories of Jamaica, Cancun and most recently their first cruise. Jerry was “Pop” to grandchildren, great grandchildren and many of their friends.
Survivors include daughter, Nicole Brandon (Jesse); son, Sammy Stewart; daughter, Jessica Griffin; son, David Stewart (Becky); grandchildren, Meagan Stewart, Jamie Goodall, Jason Brandon, Hailey Brandon, Marcus Griffin, Autumn Cruz, Zane Stewart-Cruz, Hannah Stewart, Tristan Clark; five great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Darlene Moon and Cheryl Stewart Jager and his beloved poodle Jimma.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Mary Stewart; sister Terricia Mead, sons, Jerry “Scooter” Stewart and Jamie Leroy Stewart; and wife of 38 years, Gail Stewart on April 13, 2022.

Jerry/Gail, myself and wife Janet worked with both Jetty and Gail out at Mars for many years! Jerry and I worked in Maintenances and my wife and Gail in Production. We all had some good years and a lot of good memories after working there! I have been really lucky and blessed to have had both Jerry and Gail in my life! Both as working Friends, and Friends away from the Plant Also! Thoughts/Condolences/Prayers to their Families and their many Friends! GOD be with ‘each’ of you! Rest IN Peace Jerry!
