Sharron was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Joley Ann Tamplin and husband Elton; sons, Mickey Jan Johansen Jr. and wife Sharea and Dusty Ray Johansen and wife Nicole; grandchildren, Erin Swearengen and husband Tucker, Shelby Rangel and husband Zeke, Justin Tamplin and wife Amber, Kaitlyn Tamplin, Kenzie Johansen, Emma Johansen, Kinze Reich, Tristan Johansen, Brayden Johansen, Camden Johansen, Landon Johansen, and Gavin Reich; and great grandchildren, Sloane Swearengen, Siena Rangel, Ellen Tamplin and Jolene Tamplin.
Sharron was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Mickey Johansen Sr.; father, Arthur Lyle Helton; mother, Lurline Brooks Helton; and sister, Margaret Oma Helton.
Sharron attended Speegleville Elementary for her primary education and later graduated from Midway High School. She valued education and believed in the power of knowledge. Sharron later attended 4C college and became a legal secretary. Sharron was a legal secretary until her retirement.
Sharron’s hobbies included playing piano, gardening, bird watching, and traveling. Sharron was a youth leader, Sunday School teacher and mentor to the church youth at Hilltop Community Fellowship. Later in life, Sharron found solace and community at Journey Christian Community, where she worshipped and enjoyed the company of her friends in the church home group. Her faith was an important aspect of her life, and her spiritual journey brought her comfort and strength.
Most of all, Sharron enjoyed being a “Nanny” to her sixteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved attending their games, events, and life achievements. She always looked forward to receiving videos and photos of each and every milestone they reached. She loved her grandkids so much, in fact, that even in her last days of life, her only concern was that her great-granddaughters wouldn’t be old enough to remember her. Her memory will live on with each and every one of them.
In remembrance of Sharron Yvonne Johansen, we celebrate a life well-lived and the legacy she leaves behind. Her kindness, love, and joyful spirit will forever be cherished by those who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Shinika with Visiting Angels, her nurses and aides with Community Hospice of Texas and the nurses and staff at Providence Hospice Place.

So saddened by the news of Sharron’s passing, but celebrating her heavenly arrival as I know she was looking forward to it! To know Sharron was to love her! She was the epitome of a fine Christian woman with the sweetest spirit who I was proud to call my friend! When I visited her recently at Jolie’s home I told her I may come back in a few days to see her again. She said, “well you better call first cause I might not be here.” I asked, “where are you going, joy riding?” She said, “no, I may be in heaven” and she had a big smile on her face!
It is with heartfelt grief that I, my wife Luisa, and the Rangel family (San Antonio, TX) share this difficult pain with Sharron’s family and all whom knew and loved her. We had the honor of meeting Sharron and her wonderful family there at Waco several years ago. Though saddened of the news of her passing, it is with absolute confidence that we rejoice in knowing she is now in the Presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The few times we had the honor of meeting with her, our memory is one that she always expressed her Christian testimony and the love for her Lord. May God grant you all, Sharron’s family and friends, the Peace and Comfort that only He can provide. God’s blessings and to God be all Glory and Honor as we celebrate Sharron’s entrance into the Portals of Heaven!
