What a blessing to have known Miss Shirley. She was the beautiful, beautiful bonus of my friendship with her daughters and granddaughter. Always gracious, always witty, intelligent and gentle, she brought a sense of calm into the room. My own mom met Jesus face to Face the year before I moved to Texas. Miss Shirley reminded me in many ways of my own mom, and her encouragement meant the world to me. She was never without a kind word. Today is actually the 19th anniversary of the day my mom went to Jesus, and I am grateful for the hope we have in Him. I know Miss Shirley is enjoying a peace and fulfillment today in His Presence. I am so grateful I had an opportunity to know her, and I continue to pray for her family, who I love dearly. She thought the world of them. I know they will cherish every memory of her. I cherish my time with all of them. God be with you.

  4. Suzanne Phillips Knudsen , Seattle, Wa

Shirley Thomas Phillips will be missed. She was such a gentle lady and will be missed terribly by me and my brothers Jerry and Paul Phillips. Our pioneer family was so large and now it has dwindled so quickly it seems. I’ll be thinking of Shirley and her girls. Love you all, Suzanne Phillips Knudsen.
