Sonya Lynn Spotts passed away Monday, January 30, 2023.
Sonya Lynn Spotts was born June 12, 1982 in Buffalo, NY. She was the first child of Mirian Marie and her husband, Ronald Francis Spotts. They lived in Buffalo for one year before moving to Campbell-Savona, NY until 1996 when her family moved to Waco, TX then later to Prairie Hill, TX.
Sonya attended the elementary school in Campbell-Savona, NY and one year in the Campbell/Savona High School. She attended the Waco University High School briefly. She left school before completing high school and obtaining a degree. After leaving school, she helped her mother in the home.
In 2002, she met the father of her children, they never married. Eventually they had two children, Cheyanne Brie Tovar (2003) and Isabella Rosa Tovar (2007). She was a loving and caring mother to her children. She was always ready with a helping hand; always having a positive attitude.
Sonya is survived by her mother, Mirian M. Gonzalez; sister, Cassandra A.; brother, Jacob L. Spotts; daughters, Cheyanne and Isabella; maternal grandmother, and other relatives. She will be deeply missed and was loved by family and friends.

I met Sonya in middle school. She used to date my buddy Gilbert for a bit. She was a very beautiful girl. I was fortunate to be able to hang out with her briefly. I send my condolences to the family and friends.
