Stacy Latrece Woodard-Walker, 51, of Waco, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 26, 2024 at her home.
Memorial Service: 11:30AM Saturday, February 3 at New Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1113 Payne St., Waco, Tx 76704
Stacy was born January 27, 1972 in Waco, TX to Lorenzo and Linda J. Woodard. She attended Waco ISD schools, graduating from Waco High School in 1990. Stacy also graduated from McLennan Community College, obtaining a certification in Fashion Merchandising in 1992. After several years of dating, Stacy married Mr. Randal Walker in 1999. Of this union, three children were born, Jalen, Khalil, and Jada Walker. She worked in the medical field for several years for both Hillcrest and Providence Clinics, serving in a number of roles until she became ill with breast cancer and eventually, brain cancer in August of 2021. Stacy enjoyed sewing, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family and close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Linda J. Woodard
Stacy is survived by her husband, Randal Walker; sons, Jalen and Khalil Walker; daughter, Jada Walker all of Waco, TX, Paige Walker of Dallas, TX; grandson, Ja’Princeton Walker of Waco,TX; and brother, Reginald Woodard and wife Marisa of Waco, TX. She is also survived by a number of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends that will cherish and miss her dearly.

It is with much sadness that I express my sincere condolences to the Walker, Woodard and Hainsworth family – Stacey always had a sweet and gentle spirit from her former years to an adult. So many loving and wonderful families came up in Greater New Light under the late Rev. Lorenzo Hartfield where our foundation, and so many awesome memories and relationships were established. I was so glad that I was able to know you all through your mom and brother. You and your mom had the same smile that lit up any room. As years went on I had a chance to interact with your dad and he too was funny as all get out. I pray that you are at peace and I know you will continue to look after your family.
