Sue Vest, 86, of Waco, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022. A graveside service will be 1PM Saturday, May 28th at Moody Cemetery with Dr. Lynn Osgood officiating.
Sue was born October 12, 1935 in Temple to Ross J. and Alma (Brown) Taylor. She received her Master’s Degree and worked as a special education diagnostician. She moved her family to Panama for work. This was their home and paradise for 20 years before moving back to Texas. She was a loving mother.
Personal words from her son, Rondy: “Mom, your memory and all you did for us will be a shining light to everyone who knew you. Mom, we were blessed beyond words to have had you as a part of our lives. Saying goodbye was so hard, Mama Sue, but we will cherish every second I spent with you, and have so many memories of all the laughter and joy we had together.” “Rest in peace Mama Sue. We will never forget you.“
Survivors include her son Ronald Vest and wife Mirna; grandchildren, Rondy Vest, James Vest, Desiree’ Vest, and Arabella Vest; brother Ross B. Taylor and wife Beverly; niece and nephew, Ashley Taylor and Ben Taylor; and best friend, Barbara Waters.

I had the privilege of working with Sue in the Ft. Clayton Preschool Special Education Unit in Panama for a short time. Sue was easy going and full of life and laughter. She was great with the children and they loved her and her sense of humor. Rondy, I have thought of you and your mom often. I enjoyed teaching you and knowing you and your mom. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Prayers for peace and comfort.
I am so saddened to hear of this. Sue was a unique person, intelligent and always assisting children to succeed in school. She was both funny and fun to be with. My sincere condolences to her family, especially her beloved son Rondy.
