Sylivia Eastland passed away peacefully under hospice care on Friday, January 5, 2024, in Waco.
Syliva was born in Houston on January 28, 1935. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1953.
Throughout her life she helped run the family businesses and was a Realtor and worked as an escrow officer for various title companies. After retirement she stayed active volunteering her time for charities and organizations. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being selected by those various organizations to review resumes and select students for college scholarships. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bunco, bingo and being active member of Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston until her move to Waco in 2018.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Addison; and her father, Frank Addison.
She is survived by her two sons, Doug Eastland and wife Celina of Waco, and Brian Eastland and wife Kori of Shreveport, LA.; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
The family will be planning a Celebration of Life.
