Therman Watson, Sr., age 92, passed away November 5, 2023.
Visitation: 5pm to 7pm Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Lake Shore Funeral Home
Graveside Service: 1pm Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Doris Miller Memorial Park
Therman was born September 4, 1931 in Lott, Texas to James Quinton Watson and Sarah (Thompson) Watson. He was a very loving and generous person and lived life to the fullest. His family was very special to him and he enjoyed spending time with them. Therman served in the U.S. Army, receiving several commendations. In 1951, he married the love of his life, Maggie Pearl Hines. They were blessed with five children and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Therman was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sarah Watson; wife, Maggie Pearl Watson; two children, Beverly Watson and Orthella Watson Brown; three sisters, Katy Watson Chapman, Clarise Watson and Lavonn Watson Hoyle; and brother, James Watson. Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Therman Watson, Jr. and wife Anitria and Donald Watson; daughter, Katy Watson Powell and husband George; sister, Ava Stokes; brother, Jack Watson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of friends.
