Thomas Gibbs “Hut” Frazier, 85, of Lacy Lakeview, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at an area nursing center. Funeral services will be 2PM Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow with military honors at Mt. Calm Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Monday, February 21 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.
Thomas was born January 24, 1937 in Waco to Luther and Lois (Smart) Frazier. In 1955, he joined the Navy. After he left the service, he married Nora Elizabeth Minnix in 1959. Hut started selling insurance and then went to work at General Tire until the plant shut down in 1986. He then went to work for Connally ISD in the maintenance department and was also a school bus driver until retirement. He loved hunting and fishing, especially deer hunting in Colorado. Every Summer in Colorado, he and the boys and family would go four-wheeling. Hut loved time spent with family, especially family fellowship at the dinner table.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Lou Surfus; brothers, Jack Frazier, James Frazier and Marvin Frazier; and son, Shane Minnix Frazier.
Survivors include wife of 62 years, Nora E. Frazier; children, Lisa Stone and husband Jack, Kelly Westbrook and husband Randy, Thomas Frazier, Jr., and Lawrence Frazier and wife Mary; sister, Pamela Saulters; grandchildren, Amy Burkett and husband William, Samantha Westbrook, Sabrina Helpert and husband Kevin, Julianne Foehr and husband William, Rachel Yglecias and husband Louis, Caleb Frazier and fiancé Sydney Collier, Zachary Frazier, Emily Frazier, and Kendall Eastland; and six great grandchildren.
The family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to the staff at West Rest Haven.

I’m sorry to hear about your loss. All I can say is from experience that it does get better not a lot better but it does get better just remember all the good times that you had and keep him in your heart always
So sorry I could not be with you all today. You all are in my heart. Uncle Hut was one of my favorite uncles and spending time with he and Aunt Lizzie during the summers was some of the best memories of my childhood.
