Tony Ben Amadeo, 65, of Coolidge, died on May 7, 2024, at Medical City Hospital in Ft Worth. Tony experienced complications following a kidney transplant leading to his death.
Tony was born on November 28, 1958 in Morgan City, Louisiana. He was the only son of Dennis Amadeo and Mae Dell Drennan.
Tony was a critical thinker and valued philosophy. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Mercer University and valedictorian of his class. Always reading and learning and most importantly sharing with others regardless of age or status.
Tony was the ranch manager for the Tejas Blackland LTD. He bottle-raised many calves, fawns and even a few cats. Tony’s motto was, “all they need is the will to live!” He spent most days with cattle and was a strong advocate for regenerative agriculture in particular native grasses. He often sat outside and liked to hear the cattle lowing at night.
He was a master craftsman and had a passion for wood working. He could build anything, furniture, toys, built-in cabinets etc. He spent considerable time building items for the ranch and others.
Tony was kind and gentle, always gave more than he took. His unique experiences throughout his life made him a very special man. He was redeemed.

He will be missed by many, family by blood and family of the heart. Go in peace, cousin.
My deepest sympathies for our cousins in this loss. I had the honor of talking with Tony once on the phone. I’ll always remember him encouraging me to follow my dream to teach.
I met Tony and got to know him back in 2006. He was a good and enthusiastic human being. I had him on my mind today and decided to search for him. I am truly saddened to just now learn of his passing.
