Tracy Copeland, 62, of Aquilla, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at an area hospital. Services will be 10AM Saturday, February 27th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ivan Ker officiating. Military graveside services will follow at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Friday, February 26th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Tracy was born June 15, 1947 in Waco to Ross and Lorena (Ferris) Copeland. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a man of many trades. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing; and road trips to Oklahoma and Louisiana. He cherished his friends, loved his family and his motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers.
Survivors include wife of 42 years, Alice Copeland of Aquilla; daughters, Misty Roberts and husband Chris of Waco, and Stana Butts and husband Kenny of Bosqueville; grandchildren, Lacey, Jeremy, Austyn and Katelyn; brother, Jerry Copeland and wife Barbara of Mart; sisters, Patsy Coffman of Waco and Betty Elliott of Aquilla; and dearest friends, Gene and Evelyn Morris, Ken and Barbara Caviness, Claude and Carolyn Woodard and numerous others.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Butts, Lynndale Mooring, Ken Caviness, Pete Connell, Wayne Copeland, and Billy Brown.
