Vasile Rusu, 58, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Waco, TX.

Visitation and Prayer Service: 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, April 19, 2019 at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Funeral Services: 10:00 AM Saturday at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff.

Vasile was born on May 13, 1960 in Romania to Gica and Lucretia Rusu. He has 4 sisters and 1 brother (Ghita, Maria, Geta,Lenuta, and Rodica).

On May 20, 1980, He married Mariana (Romanescu) Rusu. He moved to the United States in 1989 and has been a Waco resident ever since. He raised 15 children (Vali, Ana, Maria, Ruben, Naomi, Elisei, Lucian, Nathan, Ruth, Rebecca, Simon, Rachael, Phillip, Adela, and Maggie). He also has 16 grandchildren, all of whom survive him.

Vasile had a passion for Jesus and loved to serve Him by helping others. He worked as a mechanic, welder, woodworker, and builder. He was a member and regular attender of the Romanian Pentecostal Church.

He was a loving husband and father. “You will be greatly missed until we can join you in Heaven in praise of our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ.”
