Virginia Alexander “Geni” Reese, 68, a lifetime resident of Waco, passed away peacefully at a local care center with her husband by her side on Friday, January 8, 2016.
Memorial Service: 2PM Monday, January 11th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jane Woodward officiating.
Virginia was born October 22, 1947 to Ernest Albert and Mildred Lee (Cobb) Alexander. Virginia was elected “Homecoming Queen” at Waco High School and sang in the choir, she graduated in 1966. She went on to attend 4-C Business College and worked in retail sales. Virginia was a very giving and loving person. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy, she loved her family and her pets with all her heart. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mildred Alexander; brothers, Billy Burke and Tom Burke.
Virginia is remembered in love by her husband of over 32 years, Mark Reese of Waco; her son, Gary Byrd and wife Sandy of Frisco; sister, Marilynn Sustala and her husband Don of Waco; brother, Don Burke of Austin; granddaughters, Madeline Byrd and Miranda Byrd of Frisco; along with numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to her loving husband who was so devoted to her every need.
