Virginia Barnett

Virginia Barnett, 91, of China Spring, passed away Saturday, June 23rd at a local hospice facility.

Funeral Service: 1:30PM Wednesday, June 27th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Bradburn and Jeff Bradburn officiating. Private burial will follow at Wortham Bend Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to 8PM Tuesday, June 26th at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Virginia was born May 26, 1927 in Oklahoma City, OK to William J. and Loretta O. “Relta” (Brasier) Igo. It was no secret that Virginia’s greatest prized possessions were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, fishing, her Baylor Bears, and loved to eat Twix candy and Sour Worms. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William James Igo and Loretta Opal Rutledge; father of her children, Bill Barnett; three brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Thersa Bradburn and husband, Dale of China Spring; son, Rickey Barnett of Waco; grandsons, Curtis Bradburn and wife, Paula of China Spring, Greg Bradburn and wife, Debbie of China Spring, Jeff Bradburn and wife, Crystal of China Spring, Shannan Barnett and wife, April of Lorena, and Ryan Barnett and wife, Tara of Joshua; great granddaughters, Allyssa Russ and husband, Nate of Salado, Allison Bradburn of Salado, Taylar Bradburn of China Spring, Riley Bradburn of China Spring, and Emily Barnett of Lorena; great-grandsons, Noah Barnett of Lorena and Camden Barnett of Joshua; great-great grandson, Noah Bear Russ of Salado; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

The family would like to acknowledge a special thanks to Providence ICU and Providence Hospice, especially Board Member, Trey Scherwitz.
