Virginia Mae Wetzel, 87, of Riesel, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco.
Visitation: 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, at Riesel Cemetery in Riesel, Texas
Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, at Riesel Cemetery with Pastor Brandon Kope officiating
Virginia was born October 26, 1933 in Marlin to Newton Reed Lamson and Rosa Mae Morgan Lamson. She graduated from Marlin High School. She married Robert Lee Wetzel on March 4, 1950.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Wetzel; siblings, Rowena Adams and Ronnie Lamson; daughter, Amy Carolynn Wetzel; and son-in-law, John Yelvington.
Virginia is survived by her siblings, Patricia Adams and Lois Roberson; son, Robert Wetzel and wife, Melissa and their children, Steven Wetzel and wife, Elizabeth and Kathleen Wetzel; daughter, Shelly Yelvington and her children, Jennifer and Scott Dean, Michelle and Casey Dunn and Tommy Yelvington; daughter, Vickie Nunn and husband, James and their children, Leon and Hailey Alvarado, Chaznie Nunn, John and Emma Alvarado, Cody and Kayla Nunn; daughter, Linda Wetzel; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
