Oscar Wiley Shehorn, 86, long-time resident of Temple, passed away Monday, April 02, 2012 at an Austin hospital. Funeral services will be 1PM Thursday, April 5th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Graveside services will follow at 3:30PM at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple. Wiley was born October 15, 1925 in Marquez, TX, to Henry K. and Kattie B. (Luttrell) Shehorn. A graduate of Temple High School, he served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater in World War II on the carrier USS Hollandia. He married Willie Fern

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. It was two years ago today that I lost my mother. It is not easy but we know that they are in a better place. Your parents have been reunited in heaven and what a better time than Easter! They were special people to me too. Before we moved away from Temple,I ran in to them from time to time in Walmart and always had a nice visit. Thank you for coming by and signing the guestbook when Mother passed away. It meant so much to me.
