William Chance Collins, 42, of Whitney passed away Thursday, July 27th in Waco at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center. He was an avid sportsman, always excelling regardless of whether hitting home runs or catching fish. He loved his family, and especially his boys. Chance made many friends during his life from Morgan, Cleburne, Godley, and Whitney.
Preceded in death by his father, both sets of grandparents, aunt and uncles.
Survivors are his sons, Mason Collins of Waco and Blake Collins of Hillsboro; mother, Janis Collins of Whitney; sisters, Cristin Collins and Corrin Walker of Whitney, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews,and his faithful canine companion, Endo. Chance was much loved and he will be missed by many.
A special thanks to Dr. Randy Henderson and to the doctors and nurses in MICU at Hillcrest for the wonderful care and treatment of Chance.
A celebration will be held at a later date.
