William Carlton, Sr., 70, of Waco, passed away Saturday, April 6.
Funeral Service: 2pm, Sunday, April 14 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
William was born September 8, 1948, in Corsicana, to Perry and Rose (Melton) Carlton. He drove 18-wheelers for over 25 years and was a workaholic. In 1982, he was the State Champion at the Truck Driving Rodeo. He loved being “Bampaw” to all of the grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sons, William Hoyt Carlton, Jr. and wife Angela, John Shane Carlton, and Dohn Wayne Carlton; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Tate, Evelyn Hayes, and Joyce Barrett and husband, Michael; brother, Jackie Carlton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
