William P. “Pat” Tate, 61, of Waco, passed away on May 12, 2015. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Pat Tate was born on February 8, 1954 in Clifton to R.L. Tate, Jr. and Wanda (Day) Tate. He was raised in Morgan Mill and joined the US Army in 1972, serving most of that time in Germany. Pat lived in Spring for over twenty years and was employed with Harris County. For the past twelve years he was a resident of Waco.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Clyde and Clona Day and Roy and Mattie Tate.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia Tate Gaston and husband, Cade of Spring; son, Jason Tate of Spring; grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, J.T. and Amber; brother, Mike Tate and wife, Carla of Austin; sister, Cindy McManus and husband, Norm of Waco; nieces and nephews, Billy, Lisa, Morgan, Laura and Amanda; and special cousin, Bobby Tate of Huckabay.

Im so sorry that you lost you Pat . He was alway a speical person . When we lived at Morgan Mill I started 6th grade . I met Pat though his sister Cindy . Cindy and I are still good friend . While staying the night with Cindy , Pat would alway pester us . Well anyway he was a good guy even the ornery part I love hiim right along with his brother and sister . He was just another brother to me .
Pat, you always had a special place in Ma’s heart and that says it all for me. Hold down the fort until I get there. R.I.P.

I am so very sorry for you loss Cindy. I know how much you were there for Pat and how much you loved him. I remember how he could be so frustrating one minute and make you laugh the next. I pray for your peace of mind and soul. He will be missed.
