William “Bill” Randolph Glenn, 69, of Waco, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, at Lake Shore Funeral Home
Bill was born April 26, 1951 in Fabens, Texas to Richard and Jessie Glenn. He graduated from Pecos High School in 1971 and began his career as a butcher and meat market manager. The last twenty years of his career were in various managerial positions with Walmart. On October 29, 1997, he married Mary with whom he shared a wonderful twenty-three years.
Bill’s favorite hobbies were fishing, camping, and boating. He had a passion for all animals, especially dogs, and he gave a loving home to many dogs that he rescued. He loved feeding and watching the birds that flocked in his backyard. Bill also loved collecting Windberg paintings and could spot one all the way across an antique shop. Bill was good at teaching and helping those around him. Bill enjoyed hosting the family reunions, and he always kept a special spot in his heart for his grandson, Michael.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Richard; mother, Jessie; brother, Clifton; sister, Patricia Ann; and nephews, Jerry Wayne, Wendell and Richard.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Shannon and Clint (Crystal); grandson, Michael; sister, Lora Mae; brother, James Richard and wife, Gaye; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Rusty, Lily and Max.
Memorial donations to Fuzzy Friends Rescue in Waco or to another charity of your choice in Bill’s name would be a wonderful remembrance of Bill.

Our Sincere Condolences to Mary and the Family.
Such a dear man whom loved his family, fishing, boating and numerous activities. His Grandson Michael is his world. I would remember Mary telling me about the dogs he would rescue or if they came to the house. They would feed them. He left many great memories with everyone.
He will dearly be missed by many.

Rest in peace my old friend. Bill was the first manager I met while interviewing at Wal-Mart. Big old empty building and I thought dang this man walks fast. As I would walk to keep up he would get faster, later found out that was a test and Bill told me I passed. He told me that a lot of people he walked off from them and they could not even find where he went. Lot of good memories in those 13 years at 1254. Bill Glenn was and is an Amazing man! He will be truly missed. From the first day I meet him and it was hilarious I I was a hothead and any and everyone that knew him knew he was cool and calm Bill kept me out of so much trouble. He was a Blessing. He was a TRUE MAN OF GOD!

Mary, so sorry for your loss. Bill was a good man and a good manager for Wal-Matt. We had quite a team at the Bellmead store when it opened. I really do miss those times (back in the day) ! Bill Glenn was one of my favorite managers. He always kept it real and wasn’t afraid to tell you when you were wrong. I learned a lot from him and have missed working with him for a while now. He truly cared about the people who worked for him. Rest In Peace my friend.
