Willie (Bill) Barnett

Willie (Bill) Barnett, 86, of Waco, formerly of Shawnee Oklahoma, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009 at a local care center. Funeral services will be 10:30AM Tuesday, July 14th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with grandsons, Greg Bradburn and Jeff Bradburn officiating. A private burial will follow at Wortham Bend Cemetery in China Spring. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Monday, July 13th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Bill was born April 14, 1923 in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma to Luther Lee and Ellie Mae (Hollenbeck) Barnett. He owned and operated L & B Barnett Construction Co. for 30 years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lila Isenhower, Acie Barnett, Loyd Barnett and Lois Thomas; and son, Billy Eugene Barnett.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Virginia Barnett; daughter, Thersa Bradburn and husband, Dale; son, Rickey Barnett; grandsons, Curtis Bradburn, Greg Bradburn and wife Debbie, Jeff Bradburn and wife Crystal, Shannan Barnett and wife April, and Ryan Barnett; great grandchildren, Allyssa and Allison Bradburn, Taylar and Riley Bradburn, and Emily and Noah Barnett, all of Waco; sister-in-law, Eva Dean Barnett of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandchildren.
