Willie Dean Moore, 89, of Waco, died early Saturday morning, June 10, 2017 at Providence Hospice Place.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Lake Shore Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Buchanan officiating. Burial at Waco Memorial Park will follow immediately after the service.

Willie was born June 18, 1927 in Osage to Robert Lee and Cora Iva Smith. She was raised in Jonesboro. She met the love of her life, Lowrey Ben Moore at a dance when she was 14 and waited until she could “legally” marry him at the age of 18. She was a loving wife and homemaker who loved cooking, baking, dance and collecting S&H Green Stamps. She lived in Waco for most of her life and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Lorena.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Mary Lee Smith, Virgie May Gatlin, Ira Bradford Smith, Eunice Loraine Clemons and Tolbert Hall Smith.

Willie is survived by her husband of 71 years, Lowrey Ben Moore; three children, Linda Johnson and husband, Howard of Eddy, Ronda Good and husband, Billy of Bruceville and Sandy Moore of Waco; seven grandchildren; several step grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Margie Marie Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Providence Hospice Place for their compassion and care of our dear sweet Mama in her final days.

A reception at Crossroads Baptist Church in Lorena will follow the burial service.
