Woodfin Royburel “Roy” Nunn

Woodfin Royburel “Roy” Nunn went to his forever home on November 2, 2021, at the age of 74, in Waco, Texas. He was surrounded by his loved ones as he passed from this life to the next. Despite his battle with serious medical issues in recent years, he met these challenges with humor and a smile.

Roy was born in Waco, Texas on January 13, 1947. He graduated from Keyes High School in 1965 and went on to complete his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in 1969. He was a loving and devoted family man and follower of Christ, and an active member of Renew Church.

Roy met the love of his life, Gloria, at GMAC, where they both were employed. They married on January 8, 1972. On that day, Roy become a father to two daughters, Susan and Kelly Ann. Together, Roy and Gloria had one son, Drew. They would have celebrated their Golden Anniversary in January 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; mother, Edna Beatrice Nunn; sisters Janet Shiller and Vicki Nunn; brother and his spouse, Kelly and Judy Nunn; children and their spouses, Susan and Paul Harris, Kelly Stoabs, Drew and Beva Nunn; grandchildren Riley Davis, Bentley Stoabs, Braden Stoabs, Cameron Nunn; and great-grandson, Carter Davis; and nephews Christopher Shiller, Brad Shiller, Cade Nunn, and Brooks Nunn.

Roy was preceded in death by his father, Woodfin “Woody” Nunn; grandparents Houston and Eula Clement, and Woodfin and Annie Nunn.

Roy will be honored in a celebration of life on Saturday, November 6,2021, 1:00 p.m. at Renew Church, 6509 Bosque Blvd., in Waco, Texas.
